The Backwoods Mushroom Farms Story Backwoods Mushroom Farms began with a simple idea: build something local, dependable, and worth passing down. Founder Marc Harber has spent much of his working life around equipment, problem-solving, agriculture, and people who depend on the land. After nearly 30 years in the HVAC industry, Marc moved into the agricultural equipment business. For the past six years, he has worked directly with farmers, selling farm equipment and tractors while gaining an even closer understanding of the daily realities of agriculture. But Marc’s connection to agriculture began well before he started selling farm equipment. For approximately ten years, he worked with high school students through agricultural programs such as FFA. During that time, he helped students prepare and show livestock, learn greenhouse growing, and develop practical agricultural skills.
